English Education

As a global language, fluency in English has become a highly marketable skill. In many parts of the world, English              language education remains an opportunity available only to those privileged enough to attend private language schools or universities, leaving many youth without the ability to gain the necessary skills to improve their lives. Crafting Love and Hope aims to empower more youth by easing access to extra curricular English education.

CLH currently teaches English language skills to youth in orphanages and youth centers in Rabat and Salé, Morocco through gamified apps to make the students more competitive in today’s global workforce. We are excited to have grown our team this year to expand our work to more centers.

“Science is not a boy’s game, it’s not a girl’s game. It’s everyone’s game. It’s about where we are and where we’re going.”

Girls’ STEMpowerment Club

CLH focuses on changing how girls think about technology and there is no better way to do that than applying the skills learned in the classroom to solve real world problem. CLH Girls’ STEMpowerment Club is a  program designed to increase the likelihood of Moroccan girls pursuing careers in STEM fields by engaging them in creative, hands-on lessons during the course of the school year.

As a part of the STEMpowerment program, CLH enrolls its girls in Technovation Challenge every year to offer them the opportunity to learn the necessary skills to become tech entrepreneurs and leaders. CLH female students learn to identify a problem in their community and create a mobile app solution to address that problem, and then learn how to communicate these ideas and translate them into a fully launched business.

Youth Field Trips

We believe that our formula to youth empowerment will contribute to many families breaking their cycles of poverty. Crafting Love and Hope provides additional educational experiences beyond the classroom such as field trips, career shadowing, and summer workshops.

In 2017, We have been able to take youth from Sanabil Al Khair orphanage on a field trip to Microsoft office where we spent a full day learning coding skills and being exposed to different technologies such as 3D printing.
